Yorkshire Shark

Whilst on our holidays we saw a shark. He was called Atholl the card shark and he had an amazing knack of winning multiple games of cards in between fishing in rock pools and eating ice creams.

Rock and Roll

During my holidays in Yorkshire I ended up losing a specialist filter for my camera not in the sea not once but twice. The first time I retraced my steps and found it washed up on the tide. The second time I dropped it accidentally after taking my dawn shots and watched it roll into the sea. I had to wait an hour for the sea to fall sufficiently to find it amongst the rocks.

The second time I lost it I had just taken the following photograph. The filter is important for both landscape and wedding photography and I hope to be using it this Saturday for a wedding near St Andrews. Unfortunately we will not be taking bridal portraits on the beach as it is the Ladies Open so there is no risk of a third trip into the North Sea!

Oscar

Just back from a two week break in Yorkshire. Most of the time was spent on the beach with my young family, digging holes, eating ice creams and fishing in rock pools but one day we ventured inland to one of my favourite pubs in Beck Hole which serves a hamlet of 9 cottages and 2 farms! Whilst there we met a couple from Wales holidaying with their three dogs and I took some animal portraits. Here's Oscar an elderly Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Time and Tide

Just back from two weeks in Robin Hoods Bay with the family. With a few days to go I dragged myself out of bed at 04:15am to set up on one of the scaurs for the sunrise over the North Sea.

Laura and Craig - Now On Line

I have now finished processing Laura and Craigs wedding and I took so many images that I have had to create two galleries.

The first gallery which contains 432 images covers the day up until the end of the reception at the Boathouse can be viewed here

The second gallery which contains another 366 images includes those taken at the falls of Dochart and the Killin Hotel can be viewed here

Laura & Craig - Dancing

Just finished processing Laura and Craig's amazing wedding on Loch Tay. One of my favourite aspects of the wedding is the dancing and this wedding had an amazing five piece live band who hark from Edinburgh.

The band was called the Big Brother Band and they did amazing live versions of Franz Ferdinand's "Take me out" and the Scissor Sister "Filthy Gorgeous" They are the best wedding band I have ever heard!

What follows are some of the dancing images - I was right in there in the mix having a good dance myself taking action shots amongst the guests. They also did a mean ceilidh - they are now on my recommended list.

Laura & Craig - Ben Lawers

After their wedding ceremony in Fortingall, Laura and Craig requested some bridal portraits at a favourite spot on the single track road to Ben Lawers. Laura brought some pink welly boots especially for the photographs.

Amazingly despite skies being threatening to the west, bright to the east and moody to the north it stayed dry all day long. A relief after four consecutive wet Saturdays. The last dry Saturday being my own wedding at Arnot Tower Gardens.

Laura & Craig - Fortingall

On Saturday it was an honour to photograph Laura and Craig's 777 wedding at Fortingall on Loch Tay. They had a theme of orange and pink and their wedding was full of colour and fun. Some images from early in the day follow. This was such an amazing action packed wedding that I anticipate presenting 800 images that document their special day.
