Christchurch, Morningside

Last Sunday I was at Christchurch, Morningside for the marriage of Liz and Chris. A few of my favourite images before and during the ceremony follow:

Feel free to leave a comment below. More from this wedding later in the week. While all the wedding images should be on-line by 11th December.

Full Moon Magic

Some of my best landscape photographs occur when or near the moon is full. I had two weddings this weekend and looking at the images from Friday and Sunday, magic and romance was in the air.

Lynn and Stewart married at Glenskirlie Castle near Banknock the first castle built in the 21st Century and a photographers paradise. Those guests who wondered what I was doing during the soup course and later in the honeymoon suite see below:

The second image is a toned image, I love this image in black and white but for the purposes of this post thought I would present it as a golden toned sepia image. A lot of recent posts have all been black and white so here's some colour work for a change.

The last image was a spur of the moment idea, the four poster bed is surrounded by a stainless steel ball bearing curtain so using natural tungsten light I shot this romantic silhouette through the curtain.

Glenskirlie Castle

Yesterday I was at Glenskirlie Castle, Banknock for Lynn and Stewart's wedding. A few of my favourites follow:

Have a great honeymoon in Thailand Lynn and Stewart. Your photographs should be on-line on the 8th December.

Parents Albums

As well as making up main albums at the moment I have had requests for parents albums. I receive many favourable comments from venues / couples and parents regarding my albums so I thought I would post what they look like.

Below are some details of a parents album - it is a replica of the main album which are twice or four times the size but approximately A4 in footprint. I include my phone on the cover for a sense of scale.

The actual sizes are 27.5 cm x 20.5 cm (Approx 11 x 8 in) with the window of the pages being some 19.5 cm x 13.5 cm (Approx 7.75 x 5.25 in). Albums are available with 24, 30 and 36 sides.

The album has a textured black finish and is book bound - I have included close up shots of the cover, binding and keylining. Album prints are professional silver halide prints. These are beautiful fine art books.

Children in Need

Today I have no wedding which is just as well as I will be settling down with the family and friends to watch Scotland v Italy. The beers will be flowing but hopefully not tears.

We will also be blasting out one of our favourite songs and the unofficial anthem of the "Tartan Army" - Loch Lomond by Runrig and hoping for some more McFadden magic.

This has been remixed and is now available as a download on iTunes with profits going to Children in Need. Lets hope this single and Scotland will be top of the charts!

Happy Birthday

Today's my birthday and my present was the new generation iPOD Nano. Not only is this a fabulous music player it can also play my wedding videos. From this month forwards I can offer your wedding slideshows in iPOD format.

The video quality is absolutely amazing and I had fun downloading some podcasts of films such as Ratatouille for the children to enjoy plus spending some money in the iTunes store.

Lonely Soul

Apologies for the lack of posts lately. Busy, busy with album designs and reprints for Christmas.

I have just finished the design of Heather and Geoff's album and below are my favourite 100 images.

The fabulous music is "Lonely Soul" by Louise McKellar of the fabulous wedding band Pulse.

Pulse are one of only two wedding bands I recommend and look forward to hearing them again soon.

Please note this is a very large slideshow and may take several minutes to load.

Those viewing with Firefox may have to reload the show to view it properly.

Humanist Society

Last Sunday I photographed the final day of the Humanist Society of Scotland's 2007 Annual Conference.

Held at the Fisher Hotel, Pitlochry I covered the day as a photo journalist. A few of my favourite images follow:

Claire and Craig

Claire and Craig held their wedding ceremony at the Dunkeld Hilton. All their wedding photographs can be viewed here but you will need a username and password to view them. Please contact Claire and Craig for details.

Some of my favourite images from the day follow. The fisherman is a moss sculpture on the entrance to the hotel. The stone structure on the banks of the River Tay is where they held their wedding ceremony.
