Last Wednesday we were nearly evacuated from our home as the Queich burst it's banks and inundated my village.
The floodwaters have subsided about four feet but river levels are still exceptionally high.
This is the North Queich Bridge. There is normally the water is a foot deep under this bridge rather than the present five.
Taken twenty minutes after sunset hence the deep blue, heralding the onset of night.
