More Fuzzies

Some weddings are a real honour and privilege to photograph. Alison and Chris's wedding was one such wedding. They had a private wedding ceremony with no guests and there were three suppliers - myself, Steven Dewar of Scotia Pipers and Wedding Classics.

It was obvious how much this couple loved one another and a special touch after the ceremony was the planting of a cherry tree. What made this wedding extra special was it was also my wedding venue for my marriage to Angela in June this year.

As per the slideshows below please click the play button to view the slideshow. The music is called "Warm Fuzzies" and it certainly gives me a warm feeling replaying the images and remembering being part of their special day. The album will be ready soon guys and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Warm Fuzzies

Joanne and Rob married at Denny Parish Church and held their reception at the Inchyra Grange Hotel.

On route we had permission to visit the Falkirk Wheel for some dramatic bridal portraiture.

Enjoy your honeymoon in the Far East, Joanne and Rob, your album will be ready when you return.

The Dunkeld Grotto

On Saturday I was at the Dunkeld Hilton for Claire and Craig's weddding.

They married in a wee Grotto (a small stone structure) on the banks of the River Tay.

One of their requests was for some Perthshire scenes so here are a few I captured prior to the ceremony.

The middle images is where they held their wedding ceremony, the yellow tree was directly opposite the Grotto.

Goose bumps

Heres another wedding from Piperdam earlier this year in my new slideshow format.

This wedding gives me goose bumps everytime I look at the photographs.Emma and Tim were so obviously in love and it was an honour to capture the joy of their day.

The music for this slideshow is entitled "Flowing" and the tears of joy certainly did flow.

Isn't Technology Great

Getting to grips with my new slideshow software for the blog. Here's some of my favourites from Caroline and Graham's wedding at Dundas Castle.

More from Dundas Castle

Caroline and Graham married at Dundas Castle on 29 Sep 2007. They married in the Auld Keep, a fairytale tower with a winding staircase and afterwards I took photographs on the roof as they watched the guests return to the castle.

There were a few young children at the wedding including Megan a 3yr old flowergirl who stole the show several times during the day. One of my favourite images of the year is her lying on the grand staircase before the cake cutting!

All the images are now on-line here. Please feel free to leave any comments by clicking on the comment button after the photograph of the best man forgetting the mother in laws flowers! Just above the tree of life post.

Tree of Life

With the onset of Autumn I visited a local gorge today to re-aquaint myself with landscape photography. With a busy wedding season it's months since I took a landscape photograph.

The location I visited has always frustrated me so today I decided to walk the route in reverse to see if something new would catch my eye and indeed I did find something new.

This amazing tree was backlit by the setting sun and although I like the image in colour the graphic lines of the branches make a strong monochrome image. Definitely an image for my next exhibition.

Caroline and Graham

Last weekend was Caroline and Graham's wedding at Dundas Castle.

They had a fabulous day, in fact they had a lot of fabulous things - the amazing rings were from Hawaii, they married in an Auld Keep and the flowergirl Megan was a wee angel.

They also had a fireworks display to celebrate their marriage. Since I have been so busy their images will not be finished until the end of this week so in the meantime here are a few sneak peaks.

Another blog entry and all the images will follow on Friday 12 Oct.

Gillian and Craig

Gillian and Craig married at Arnot Tower Gardens on 21st Sep 2007. Despite the showers everyone had a fab time. A few of my favourites follow while all 200 images can be viewed here.
