I won a national award

On Sunday I was at the BIPP Scotland 2008 Image Awards as five of my photographs had been short listed for final judging. I was amazed and honoured to win the landscape category and be crowned "Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year". My winning image taken at St Monans, Fife, is entitled "Search Lights"

Search LightsThis image currently hangs as a massive canvas in my home. I love this image yet none of my family understand why. I did joke that it would be ironic if the image won a national award once I was notified it had qualified for the final. This image will soon feature in an exhibition - details to follow later in June.
